Contact Us For The Next CIT Training Program!
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and caring individuals who are always smiling and who enjoy the outdoors, camping and just having good clean fun. Counsellors need to be up for the challenge, as they work long hours, similar to an au pair. If they are up for the challenge, it is such a worthwhile and rewarding opportunity.
The role of a counsellor is solely for the campers, to be there for them, to spend time with them, to listen to them, and to become their friend and someone they trust.
The Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) program is a job readiness and youth development program for 18-24 year-old young adults.
Participants in the CIT program will gain tangible experience that will boost their resume. Participants in the CIT program must be able to commit to two camp sessions (does not have to be back-to-back).
Read below for more information on the program…
What is a counsellor?
The young adults who are chosen to take care of and supervise the campers are called "counsellors". Their playful personalities set a great vibe and bring a lot of excitement to camp. They are also actively involved in teaching activities and ensuring that every camper is helped and encouraged to reach their full potential, whatever their capability level.
