A YEAR OF PURPOSE

Program Overview

We offer transformative 5-month and 10-month gap year programs set in the breathtaking landscapes of the Western Cape. Designed to challenge and inspire, our programs provide a unique blend of adventure, personal development, and professional skills training.

Participants will embark on thrilling outdoor activities such as abseiling, bungee jumping, rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking, and skydiving. Alongside these adrenaline-pumping experiences, students will develop essential skills through comprehensive courses in leadership, conflict resolution, digital literacy, and more.

Our program includes activities like white-water rafting, ocean conservation beach cleanups, extreme camping and survival skills, and wildlife safaris. Each month concludes with an extreme activity, ensuring continuous excitement and growth.

Professional development is a key component of our program. Students will gain valuable certifications through SEESA in compliance and health & safety, legislative knowledge, soft skills, and computer courses

Campers attending the Gap Year Program are based at Buffalo Drift which is nestled on the Ruigtevlei Farm located 10 km outside the town of Gouda. The picturesque working farm is set on the banks of the Berg River only 1h30 minutes from Cape Town’s CBD – where this unique program has exclusive use of its ideal camping facilities and amenities.
