Program Overview
With this newest addition to our camp programs, campers will embark on an exciting journey through the ever-evolving world of digital innovation. The Digital Pathfinders Camp is sure to ignite the curiosity and passion for technology among the campers at Camp Genesis. Throughout this immersive 7-day camp, teens will not only acquire valuable computer skills but also discover their potential as tech-savvy leaders of tomorrow.
The camp offers a diverse range of activities, from mastering coding languages and understanding web development principles to exploring the realms of artificial intelligence and delving into the world of digital design. This allows campers to discover and nurture their unique interests and talents in the tech domain.
The program seamlessly blends thought-provoking talks by specialist Camp Genesis staff with engaging workshops facilitated by invited Algorithmics experts. In addition, the camp includes a series of testing challenges and action-packed activities that keep the campers engaged and excited throughout their journey of exploration and growth.

The Amazing Race Camp
A competitive series of tasks/challenges that demand skill, application and multi-tasking. The tasks can be just about anything, construction related, skill related, memory related, fear related, eating, etc. Everyone takes part in the experience.
The program is designed around competitive contests with camper teams given places to find, sites to visit, items to collect and missions to accomplish.

Better known as Shauvy, is the owner of Algorithmics International Programming School – Durbanville/Brackenfell & has been in the IT industry for over 2 decades.
Shauvy is passionate about enhancing the current education system by providing children & young adults with the opportunity to learn relevant 21st century programming skills.

Jarrod de Jong
Jarrod de Jong is a leadership coach, mentor and teacher.
He is an exceptional motivational speaker, and equip teens with the tools on how to start taking responsibility & ownership for their choices and actions, how to set goals and achieve them, how to set boundaries, peer pressure, bullying and so much more.
Thanks to his interactive approach, Jarrod captivates our young campers, ensuring that every participant is actively involved in his presentations and high-value teachings.

Accommodation & Venue
Campers attending the Digital Pathfinders Camp are based at Buffalo Drift which is nestled on the Ruigtevlei Farm located 10 km outside the town of Gouda. The picturesque working farm is set on the banks of the Berg River only 1h30 minutes from Cape Town’s CBD – where this unique program has exclusive use of its ideal camping facilities and amenities.
